Both academically and professionally I have an extensive background
in a wide range of both theoretical and real-world design, multimedia, training, social media
and communications activities. These activities have included everything
from developing written materials and presentations to
working with journalists, producing videos, and creating a variety
of online, print and social media campaigns. Not only have I worked in the field of
high-tech training and marketing communications for more than two
decades, I also have a BA in Communications with concentration in
Visual Arts from UCSD and an MA in Educational Technology(now Learning Desing Technology) with an
emphasis in Multimedia from San Diego State University. In addition,
I received a Community College Instruction Certificate from UCSD
Extension and have completed the requirement courses for an Adult Education
Designated Subjects Credential.
Recently, I have served as VP of Marketing for EcoDog, Inc., a startup in the CleanTech industry. We developed and market innovative products for home and solar energy management and shipped our first products in mid-2010. Unfortunately, the funding environment at that time did not allow the company to continue operations. Since 2013 I have managed marketing and training for LevelHead Solutions, an IT and Software consulancy.
Because I enjoy working with students and keeping current with multimedia technology, I've also served as an adjunct instructor in
the Educational Technology Department at SDSU since 2005. I have had the
opportunity to participate in virtually all aspects of teaching
and managing technology, social media and multimedia development courses, both
online and on campus. These courses included students of all ethnicities
and backgrounds. In fact, the online classes have generally included
students from locations all over the world from Senegal to Seoul.
